HOSA is very appreciative of

and

for hosting skills event competitors in Nursing Assisting, Dental Assisting,
Medical Laboratory Assisting and Physical Therapy.
Exhibitors made the most of their final day and continued to
meet with HOSA delegates until the HOSA exposition ended at 1 p.m. on Friday
afternoon.
Educational Symposiums continued taking place throughout the day
with such topics as “The Medicinal Use of Laughter,” “The ABC’s of Being a High School Athletic Training Student Aid” and
“Genes in a Bottle.” The Educational Symposiums at this year’s NLC were
outstanding and gave HOSA members an opportunity to learn about different areas
and aspects of healthcare.
The
New
Advisor
Leadership
Academy
, with
approximately 50 in attendance, took place from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday
morning. This provides new local advisors with the opportunity to learn more
about HOSA and how to create a successful chapter in their school.
Congratulations to those advisors and best wishes implementing the newly
learned best practices.
The National Recognition Session, which recognizes those
chapters and their members who have contributed to HOSA as well as individual
chapter accomplishments throughout the past year, began at 7:30 on Friday
evening.
The first
awards were presented to Outstanding HOSA Advisors. Each HOSA advisor is a
positive influence for their students and makes a difference in the life of
every HOSA member they teach. This is a chance to recognize those individuals
for their hard work.
The following advisors were nominated by their state association
for the award of OUTSTANDING HOSA
ADVISOR:
