Arizona HOSA’s NAMI Walk
On October 15, 1,880 dedicated NAMI supporters and HOSA members walked around the Arizona State
Capital for the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The 5k walk raised money and awareness for mental
illnesses. Arizona HOSA Members from all over the state were in attendance to give their support to our
National Service Project and contribute to its mission to end the stigma surrounding mental illnesses.
Arizona HOSA raised $171,947
for NAMI and kicked off the beginning of an amazing partnership
between HOSA and our national service project.
I’d highly recommend that every HOSA member involve themselves in a walk or community service for
NAMI to show support for the organization!
At this year’s International Leadership Conference, the Voting Delegates
selected the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) as HOSA’s 2016-2018
National Service Project. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health
organization dedicated to building better lives for millions of Americans
affected by mental illness. HOSA is honored to partner with NAMI for the next
two years and, we are excited to see HOSA members getting involved!
