1/20/2012 - CPR/First Aid - Diversified Health Occupations by Louise Simmers was inadvertently left off the resource list, and is used in developing the written test.
1/10/2012 - The name of the Kaiser Permanente Healthcare Issues Exam has been changed to Healthcare Issues Exam.
1/10/2012 - PSA radio spot option added for airing PSA
12/5/2011 - The HOSA EMT event has been updated to be consistent with the changes made in November 2011 to the EMT-Basic Skill Sheets from the NREMT at http://www.nremt.org/nremt/about/psychomotor_exam_emt.asp. The changes to the HOSA rating sheets are in red in the December 2011 guidelines on the HOSA website.
11/9/2011 - Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, 11th edition has been published. HOSA will continue to use the 10th edition at 2012 state leadership conferences. Effective May 1, 2012, HOSA will use the 11th edition, published in 2011, for both the test and presentation rounds at the 2012 HOSA National Leadership Conference. Teams who register to compete at the NLC should be prepared to follow Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised, 11th edition, and incorporate the changes posted on the National Association of Parliamentarians website at http://www.robertsrules.com/changes11.html.
11/1/2011 - Biotechnology - Editorial change to step # 7 in Procedure VII.
10/10/11 - Biomedical Debate - Points adjusted on Negative Rating Sheet under Negative Rebuttal to be consistent with the point structure for Affirmative Rebuttal.
8/22 - The "What’s New for 2011-12" document has been updated to reflect a change in Community Awareness for 2011-12. Not all event changes are detailed in the "What’s New for 2011-12" document, and chapter members are encouraged to carefully study the current event guidelines to effectively prepare for competition.
