4/20/09 - CPR/FA and FA/RB - Rating
sheets corrected to reflect BLS for Healthcare Providers,
page 70, "The recovery position is not recommended
in infants and small children because this position
may block the airway if the head is not adequately
supported." This change will not affect state
competition, but will be implemented at NLC 2009.
4/20/09 - Epidemiology - Link to "Young Epidemiology Scholars" website
corrected.
2/18/09 -
CPR/FA and FA/RB - Clarification: Cravats are
defined as strips of cloth, triangular bandages folded
into strips, roller gauze, or other similar material
to tie or anchor splints in place.
1/20/09 - PC and NA - Competitors
will still bring their own linens (sheets, drawsheet
and pillow case) to national competition, however,
National HOSA will now provide blankets/spreads for
competitors to use. Competitors will have the
OPTION of bringing their own blanket/spread or using
what is provided by National HOSA. NOTE: This
rule change does NOT affect state conferences. Please
bring all linens and blankets to state competition
unless otherwise directed by your state advisor.
