Day three of the National HOSA Leadership Conference was filled with lots of activity. Competitors and judges were up early to begin another full day of competitions. HOSA exhibitors were busy preparing for a day of visits from conference delegates. Advisors participated in morning and afternoon HOSA University sessions in addition to sessions for local chapter leaders and members.
Fifteen additional Education Symposiums were offered on Friday including topics such as Hands-On Body Systems, Starting a Postsecondary/Collegiate HOSA Chapter, Disaster Ready, and Navigating Washington. Educational symposiums at this year's NLC were outstanding and gave HOSA members an opportunity to learn about many different aspects of healthcare and leadership.
The HOSA Showcase allows all conference participants to view the final products of the following HOSA competitions: Medical Photography, Public Service Announcement, Health Education and Healthy Lifestyle. In addition to the showcase, delegates were also able to watch the HOSA Bowl finals.
Several events took place off-site this week at Everest University, Valencia College, Hunter's Creek CERT, Disney's Animal Kingdom Hospital, ESPN Wide World of Sports and EPCOT. HOSA is grateful for the services these sites have provided for HOSA competitions.
