Tuesday marks the day before the 2004 National Leadership Conference begins and is busy with preparation as the State Advisor’s arrive to register their delegates for competition.

HOSA Headquarters and Competitive Events Headquarters are setting up for State Advisor Registration as well as orientations and competitions, which begins on Wednesday, June 23 at 8 AM.

HOSA members arrive throughout the day after long flights, bus rides and road trips across the nation. They patiently wait in the lobby of the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort and Convention Center for their rooms to be ready and for the fun to begin!

Newly-elected state officers are busy participating in the New State Officer Leadership Academy from 8:30 AM – 12 noon, which will help them prepare for their upcoming year as state officers.

The Advanced State Officer Leadership Academy takes place from 1 PM – 4:30 PM, which will teach the delegates critical thinking, team building, leadership skills and much more.

The National Officer Candidates attend an orientation beginning at 6 PM before their exam. The list for the National Officer candidates is posted at 10:30 PM and will include those candidates that will move on to the next level.

To end the evening, the National Executive Council hosted the State Presidents’ Reception from 9 PM – 11 PM.

Overall, the day was busy but filled with anticipation as each delegate prepares for the next few days of competition and excitement.
