Although the National HOSA Leadership Conference begins tomorrow, national staff and volunteers were busy preparing for the arrival of 7,000 conference delegates, judges, VIPs and guests today.
The Competitive Events staff met early this morning to prepare for over 5,000 competitors and the 57 competitive events that will take place over the next three days. HOSA thanks the dedicated volunteers and judges who help to make each event a success.
In the morning, state officers attended HOSA’s Leadership University 301 designed to help officers grow as leaders and become great HOSA ambassadors.
In the afternoon, State Advisors gathered to collect their conference materials—counting and organizing name badges, conference pins and programs ensued. Afterwards, State Advisors received some well-deserved praise for their service to HOSA at the State Advisors dinner. HOSA would like to thank Jerry Foxworthy of Applied Technologies for sponsoring dinner and their continued support of National HOSA.
After a long day of traveling by buses, planes and cars, students, advisors and guests arrived in Orlando, Florida happy to reach their final destination in Orlando, Florida.
Eighteen National Officer hopefuls began the national officer screening process including an orientation session and examination. Later, an interview schedule was posted for qualifying candidates.
In the evening, the National Executive Council hosted a reception for state presidents to meet one another, share ideas and celebrate their HOSA accomplishments this year.
