Day three of the National HOSA Leadership Conference was filled with lots of activity. Competitors and judges were up early to begin a second full day of competitions. HOSA exhibitors were busy preparing for a day full of visits from conference delegates. And HOSA and Competitive Events staffs were ready for day three of the HOSA NLC.
New advisors participated in morning and afternoon Leadership Academy sessions. New Advisors were also invited to a third Newcomers Coffee Talk to discuss further questions about the organization.
Twenty additional Education Symposiums were offered on Friday including topics such as The Art of Baby Catching and Starting a Postsecondary/Collegiate HOSA Chapter. Educational Symposiums at this year’s NLC were outstanding and gave HOSA members an opportunity to learn about many different aspects of healthcare.
The HOSA Showcase allows all conference participants to view the final products of the following HOSA competitions: Medical Photography, Community Awareness, Health Education, Chapter Newsletter, Clinical Specialty, Extemporaneous Health Poster, Public Service Announcement, and Career Health Display.
Several events took place off-site this week at Walt Disney World, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Hospital, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, South Lake Hospital, Inc, and the Reedy Creek Emergency Services. HOSA is grateful for the services these sites have provided for HOSA competitions.
