Quote of the Day:
"The Leadership Academy was awesome! Mr. Booden taught us
the lesson of the butterfly, and how we have to learn to spread
our wings. I seriously walked away thinking about my life. The whole
session really rocked!" - Kristin McAbee,
Smoky Mountain High School, North Carolina

The HOSA Competitive Events Program staff is
working hard to prepare for 3363 competitors in 48 competitive events.
In their business meeting, a new event was approved to be piloted
in 2002-03. The new event - Clinical Specialty - is a skill development
event specifically for health and medical careers that are not served
through existing HOSA events. The Clinical Specialty event will
include career research, skill development, and work-based learning
components.
In other Competitive Events news, HOSA members
will want to look for significant changes in the HOSA National
Recognition Program. New event guidelines will be available
on this web site in September.
