Janet Villarreal, the Texas HOSA State Advisor and Hugo Quezada, National HOSA President-Elect, attended and delivered bilingual greetings at the celebration commemorating the 25th anniversary of Puerto Rico HOSA. Dr. Jim Koeninger, Executive Director of HOSA-Future Health Professionals, also shared his excitement via a prerecorded video message to the delegation.
The 25th Anniversary Celebration included the unveiling of the new state pin, and the presentation of personalized medals to the winners of the State Leadership Conference. The event was filled with fun activities like Zumba, a fashion show, leadership development, the introduction of a CTSO state-wide service project and a dance. Also in attendance was the state health science supervisor who is a HOSA alumnus and a strong supporter of HOSA at the Puerto Rico Department of Education.
